There are
several treats that I remember fondly from my childhood….Big League Chew,
Atomic Fireballs, Bottle Caps, Now & Later’s and Cracker Jack snacks.
One of the
things I loved best about Cracker Jack snacks as a kid was the PRIZE! I still remember the anticipation---opening
the box and dumping out the contents to find the prize before devouring the
popcorn. Jayson says that as a kid, he
would almost always choose Cracker Jack snacks over other snacks purely because
of the prize.
One of my
favorite “Cracker Jack” memories is my uncle’s legendary marriage
proposal. My uncle carefully opened a
box of Cracker Jack snacks, put the diamond ring inside and glued the box back
together. Boy was my aunt was surprised
to find a ring instead of a sticker or tattoo!
Now Cracker
Jack Snacks is making a comeback and we were lucky enough to sample the new
and improved Cracker Jack snacks. They
now have three flavors: Original (with
more peanuts), Kettle Corn, and Butter Toffee.
The family sampled all three, and it was a tough call, but I think
Kettle Corn was our favorite, with Butter Toffee a close second. I found myself grabbing a handful every time
I went to the pantry. And the best part
about the new Cracker Jack snacks….they still come with a prize!

I enjoyed the small boxes when I was a kid. I like eating it watching my favorite tv shows as a kid and seeing what prize I would find in the box. Yes, I looked forward to the prizes as well. Thank you for this wonderful giveaway! I have been wanting to try out the new products. :)

Oh how I loved Cracker Jacks as a kid....I would not open the prize until I was done.....the excitement of what I would find...great memories!
I have to agree the prize was my favorite part too, but I would eat the popcorn and work my to it. At least that's how I remember it. =) The popcorn is crazy addictive. We bought it on a road trip once and didn't stop munching until it was all gone.

my great grandma used to love cracker jacks and she would always have tons of boxes stashed away. I remember when she passed away we celebrated her life and the adults let us each have a box of her cracker jacks. I don't have many memories of my great grandma but I always things fondly of her whenever I see cracekr jacks.

I LOVED getting Cracker Jacks when we went to the circus or the movies! I loved eating all of the popcorn first and saving the peanuts for last. Of course, the prize was the ultimate reward! I loved the tiny books they used to have. :)

I use to eat cracker jacks at the lake with my grandparents. Miss those times.
I too would pick Cracker Jacks over other treats just for the prize :)
I love cracker jacks, even though I'm not a kid anymore.
I remember my dad coming home from work and bringing Cracker Jacks once in a while for my brother and me. It was always a fun surprise.

what a special treat Cracker Jacks were for me as a child. such fun carefully opening the box and eating the treat with my brother and sister. always fun to see who reached in and found the treat. don't remember it being a problem as the prize was shared between us, also.
