Fourth of July

Back: Riley, Rachelle, Jayson, Kaiya
Front: Kyndall, Rustin, Ryder, Kaydence, Kassidy

We celebrated the babies first fourth of July with my parents (aka "Mimi" and "Papa") and my younger sister, Tiare (pronounced T-R-E). Tiare just finished her freshman year at BYU and is living with us for July and half of August to help with the babies. Isn't she the BEST???

We started our holiday by taking lots of pictures, because, as we all know, there is some universal law that says:
Matching shirts = Kodak Moment

Once we exhausted ourselves and the babies taking pictures, we took advantage of the unusually high number of adults (5) and went to the pool. I expected the pool to be packed, but it was amazingly empty, considering it was a holiday.

Riley
(sidenote: Riley was awarded "Swimmer of the Week" at Swim Team this week!)

Kaiya

Kassidy probably loved the water more than anyone. She would stay in the floating boat all day if we let her!

Despite his serious expression in this picture, Ryder also loved the water.

Kyndall was a little less excited by the pool, but she didn't mind it.

Tiare with Rustin

Kaydence didn't want anything to do with the water. She preferred to sit with Papa in the shade (who also wanted nothing to do with the water).

After swimming, some friends of ours were brave enough to invite us over for dinner. The babies are usually so excited to be somewhere new, that they actually do pretty well when we take them places. (Kaydence, Kyndall, Ryder, Kassidy, Rustin)

This picture doesn't actually have anything to do with the fourth of July. I just thought it was cute, so I am throwing it in anyway. (Kyndall, Kaydence, Ryder, Kassidy and Rustin)

Those are great pictures! I am a big fan of the matching flad shirts. So cute. How exciting to take them all swimming. Yes, that is really wonderful that your little sister can help you this summer. She's very lucky and so are you to have her. She looks like your mom. Loved the pool pics. The babies looked so cute in their little floaties.

What a super mom you are. Taking care of 7 kids and still finding them time to blog!

I love checking your blog every so often! Your kids are so cute!

Your sister looks very familiar! (I go to BYU too) I've probably seen her on campus or something. What a nice sissy to help you out for a couple of months!

I'm glad you threw in the last picture because it is super cute. I think I like it the best because it wasn't posed and all the kids were happily plying together.

Have a great weekend!

I loved seeing you all at the pool, so cute!

Looks like those kids will be too tall for their infant car seats pretty soon. Eeek! They're growing so big and I can't imagine having to get 5 car seats every time!!!

I'm glad you threw the last photo in. It was fun to see a candid of them all playing together!

Hi!
THe kids look great! I was cleaning out old emails, and saw one I had sent you while you were in AZ! It is amazing how fast time goes. I am just so happy to see how cute they are. My girls have the exact same dresses as you in one of the pictures.
I really love following you blog.
One day we will have to meet for a playdate. I know there are several of us TX MOM's that are former Dr. Elliot patients!

Hi! I just found your site and I think you are AMAZING! I have nine children, including a set of 5-month-old twins. I truly do not understand why I EVER thought having one baby was hard! Even though having twins is a wonderful miracle from God, it is barely managable. I don't know how you do it with five! Keep up the great posts! If only you had time to post more often! Do you have any tips for other moms with multiples? I'd love to read what you have to say. Congratulations!

As usual Rachelle, a wonderful group of pictures with everyone looking picture perfect. My first thought though when I saw the pictures was that a year ago YOU looked so much different and as I recall you were in or preparing to go into the hospital.

What a difference a year has made. You and Jayson have risen to the challenge and awed all of us with your joy, sense of humor, and organizational parenting skills. Plus, you've willing shared your experiences and challenge with all of us in blog world

What a beautiful family, love those flag tees!

The only thing that could possibly be better is if you all had Star Trek shirts on.

It still amazes me how each temperament is so different. How each likes the water is a perfect example!

It is amazing to see how wonderful they are all doing...and happy belated birthday to K,K,K,R and R. I justed wanted to post after seeing your picture...we have this garden center too, and it is a favorite here as well! Congrats on making it through the first year with such success and grace.
