An Unexpected Blessing...

A few weeks ago the Jones Quintuplets were born here in Austin. HEB, a Texas based grocery store, hosted a diaper drive for the Jones family and matched the donations given by the community. The Jones family received over 8000 diapers from the community and an equivalent amount from HEB (in the form of gift cards)! Wow! We were so happy for the Jones family---what a great blessing for them! We know, more than most people, how helpful that will be for them!

But that is not where the story ends...The week of the diaper drive, HEB contacted us, to tell us that in the process of helping the Jones', they heard about our family and wanted to help us as well! A few days later, the unit manager from our Cedar Park HEB came over to deliver a very generous donation of gift cards. By our calculations, the gift cards are equivalent to about a year's worth of diapers!! What an amazing and unexpected blessing for our family! Especially in these tough economic times, we are so grateful for the incredible generosity of HEB!

Rustin, Kassidy, Riley, Ryder, Kaiya, Kyndall and Kaydence pose with the HEB Unit Manager. THANK YOU HEB!!!

Despite the crazy times we live in, on a daily basis there are good people out there doing amazingly generous things for others. I'm thrilled for the Jones family and also for you. Maybe by next year all you will need is a lot of underwear.

Thats great but what about the families that have as many children as you but not multiples that do not get donations. You chose to have all those children so you should provide for them

That is awesome. Your family is beautiful. This is my time visiting and stumbled here from another blog. I born and raised in Texas my family was from the Austin-Round Rock area. When I married years ago I moved to Kentucky with my inlaws that was many moons ago. That place has changed so much from when I was there 25yrs ago. I would move back, but my only grandchild lives here and I would miss him way to much.
Take care, Chrissie

Oh- I just LOVE that! I can't remember how I found your blog- but I'm glad I did. Your calendar photos are all so awesome!!

I noticed your kids are doing the same red-rimmed and raw skin around the mouth, and just thought I'd share what's worked for me and everyone I tell- A&D ointment. (The hardest part is remembering to put it on the little buggers. ;D) But the good news is, it always seems to get cleared up after two consecutive days of slathering.

Oh- I just can't imagine. Okay- I kind of can- that's what makes it so amazing. Isn't nursery the BEST! haha

Love your blog!

If we had HEB here, I would patronize them because of their community involvement.

You might make it to potty training! yippee!!

Congratulations, what a blessing to be given such a great and useful gift. I am sorry to read the one negative comment on here. May God be with that negative person and help them in their life.
