Capture the Joy...In Front of the Lens

My good friend and favorite photographer Kristen Duke is starting a link up get-together to encourage people to not just TAKE pictures of their family, but to actually get IN pictures. I know I am much more comfortable behind the lens then in front of it, so I thought this would be a great way to make sure I am a documented part of our family history!  Also, I have been so busy lately that blog posting has gotten shoved to the bottom of my to-do list (which I am so sad about because I really love blogging!)  With this weekly get-together, I figure I can at least get one quick post in a week, and hopefully I will be able to tackle some longer posts in the near future!

This picture was taken on Sunday, Mother's Day, by my friend Cassaundra.  My mother's day was awesome, probably one of the best ever!  If you haven't seen it already, scroll down and check out the video my hubby and kids made for me for mother's day---it is adorable :-)

I love how individual each of the kids are---they want to pick out their own clothes (or pj's as is the case in this pic) and they are in that really independent phase.  I think it is important to encourage independence, so if that means that Ryder wears Christmas jammies in May and Rustin's top and bottom don't even come close to matching, so be it!

What a beautiful family you have. I am in your stat class this summer and I'm enjoying your stories of their antics. I have 5 older ones and those days were so crazy but have such joy. Thanks for sharing with us.
